A New Photo Excursion

In less than a week I am heading to the Pacific Northwest (PNW), Oregon to be specific, for a new photography excursion.  I've wanted to go to the PNW for a while, and so I am really excited about this trip.  The landscapes are simply amazing, ranging from stunning seascapes (see example, below) to spectacular waterfalls.

While I hope to spend most of my time along the beautiful Oregon coast, I do have some waterfalls and other locations on my list.  Of course, a lot is weather dependent, and based on my previous experience, I am trying to be more flexible and keep my agenda open.  But, we shall see!

I am renting a campervan again, "Nessie the Nissan", and I'm excited about what I have lined up this time.  It should be much nicer than what I had rented in Utah.

I should be in less desolate areas as compared with Utah, so not only will have I better access to facilities, but it should be easier to access the internet and update my travel blog, which as always I will try to do daily.

So, that's it for the intro....short & sweet!

Oh, by the way: Oregon's travel slogan is "Welcome to  Oregon Again", which I think seems a little odd, especially if you've never been to Oregon (though I think it's much better than the unassuming slogan they had previously, "We Like It Here, You Might Too).  I have been to Oregon before (on business many, many years ago), so I guess "again" is technically accurate for me.  But, this will be my first pleasure visit, hence the reason I have put "again" in the blog title in quotes.

 Stay tuned.

Epilogue: Thank You Oregon

It’s been a few days now since I’ve gotten back from Oregon.   Fortunately, the jet lag hasn’t been too bad, and my sleeping is more or less...
